What RTs do

Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and education of patients with heart and lung disorders. Respiratory Therapists work with patients of all ages, from infants and children to adults and geriatrics. The Respiratory Therapist is a crucial lifesaving and life-supporting professional who works in both the community and in hospitals throughout Saskatchewan.

They specialize in chronic respiratory disease management, sleep disorder diagnostics and therapies, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, critical care treatment such as ventilator management and non-invasive respiratory therapeutics as well as many other cardiorespiratory aspects of care.

RTs always endeavor to utilize the most advanced treatments available along with providing the most compassionate care to patients and their family members.
