Applying for a Licence

The Registration year for the SCRT is April 1st to March 31st. 
Per SCRT Administrative Bylaw 31(7), all annual fees are payable on or before January 31 in the year prior to the licensing to which they relate.


All applicants need to meet the criteria indicated on the application form for membership to SCRT.

If you are applying from in-province, please fill out in full and submit the application form. With it, you will need to submit:

  1. Proof of Graduation from a CoARTE-approved program in Respiratory Therapy.
  2. A Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector query. This MUST be from the RCMP or local police. No third party CRCs will be accepted.
  3. Pay all associated fees.

If you are transfering your license here from another province, you must submit the following:

  1. An application form, in full, either mailed, delivered or online.
  2. A Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector query. This MUST be from the RCMP or local police. No third party CRCs will be accepted.
  3. Pay all associated fees.
  4. Proof of license from your referring regulated authority. Please complete section 1 and submit the forms to your previous regulating authority and have them complete the remainder and return to the SCRT.  SCRT Registration Verification Form

*Please note that under the provisions of Chapter 7 of the Agreement on Internal Trade for Labour Mobility, licenses are recognized on a permit-by-permit basis. Not all classes of licenses are the same in all provinces. Please contact the registrar if you have any questions regarding the transfer of your license to Saskatchewan.


Fees

If application for initial registration is made on or after October 1 in any year, the registration fee for a full practice or restricted license is prorated to $250.


Per section 31.1 of the Administrative Bylaws, if a member fails to pay the required annual license fee on or before January 31, the member shall pay a penalty of:

  1. $100, if the member pays his or her fees between February 1 and the last day of February;
  2. $200, if the member pays his or her fees between March 1 and 31.
