Dear Colleagues:

Respiratory Therapy is a legislatively licensed profession in the province of Saskatchewan, effective April 1, 2009. Accordingly, to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Saskatchewan you are required to hold a license with the Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapists (SCRT). This letter is intended to inform you of the requirements needed for licensure.

2.Attach a criminal record check to your completed application form. Your criminal record check must be current and date back no further than one year prior to application;

3.Include your registration fee of $310.00 via cheque or money order;

(Note: Failure to pay the required licensing fee on, or before, March 31 of each year will result in a penalty of $100 per additional month the licensing fee is not paid. Please also note that the application form and payment will be returned to sender if the form is incomplete and/or required documentation not submitted, or insufficient payment is received.)

7.If you are a new graduate you are required to provide proof of graduation from an accredited program in respiratory therapy and qualify to apply for a temporary restricted class license;

8.If you are applying from another licensed jurisdiction in Canada you must notify the SCRT and provide proof that you are a member in good standing with your referring licensing body.
